Aditya J. Yerrapragada, MD

Dr. Aditya Yerrapragada is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. He has extensive training in the management of fractures involving the upper and lower extremities (arm and leg/foot), Dr. Yerrapragada additionally spent an extra year of training specializing in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery, treating a broad range of conditions of the toes, foot, heel, ankle, and lower leg. He specializes in fracture care of the upper and lower extremities, total ankle replacements, arthritis care, ankle arthroscopy, sports injuries, flatfoot and Achilles tendon reconstruction, bunion and hammertoe surgery, and cartilage injury. This includes using modern techniques and minimally invasive surgery to help get patients back on their feet.

Dr. Yerrapragada earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He then attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency

Andhra Mahabharatham (ఆంధ్ర మహాభారతం) is the Telugu version of Mahabharatha written by the Kavitrayam (Trinity of poets), consisting of Nannayya, Thikkana and Yerrapragada (also known as Errana).The three poets translated the Mahabharata from Sanskrit into Telugu over the period of the 11–14th centuries CE, and became the idols for all the following poets.[1] More than calling "Andhra Mahabharatham" as a translation of Sanskrit Mahabharatha written by Lord Ganesha under the supervision of Veda Vyasa, this Andhra Mahabharatham was an independent translation. Thus, this translation is not a stanza by stanza translation. These three poets wrote Andhra Mahabharatham in Telugu literature style, but keeping the same exact essence as that of Sanskrit Mahabharatham

Biography

Yerrapragada also known as Errana (Telugu), was a great Telugu poet in the court of Prolaya Vemareddy, the founder of Reddy dynasty of Kondaveedu, who ruled Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, and Kurnool districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh.Yellapregada was also known as Errana or Errapregada. He was honored with the title Prabandha Parameshwara (the supreme lord of Prabandha) and Shambudasusu.

Birth and Ancestors

Errana was born in Gudluru village in Pakanadu and lived in Chadalawada. He belonged to Srivatsa gotram and Apastambha sutram of the Brahmin caste. His father was Surana and mother was Pothama. His grandfather was Errapothana whose name was given to him and his grandmother was Perama. His great-grandparents were Bolana and Polama and his great-great-grandfather was Bhimana. His family religion was Aradhya Shaivism. His teacher was Srisankaraswamy, an orthodox Shaiva. Although Errana was a devotee of Lord Shiva and his family was Shaiva family, he worshipped Lord Vishnu also.
