By the age of 12, KK began to make a name for herself on the Dance convention circuit, gaining numerous accolades and scholarships including the prestigious “Elite Protégé” award and also being chosen for the “Monsters Cast” where she traveled the country assisting choreographers, such as Brian Friedman, Dave Scott.

Kaelynn ‘KK’ Harris is an elite performer who garnered traction after advancing to the finals with her dance crew, 8 Flavahz, on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Since then, she has traveled the world extensively, teaching students of all ages.

She has recently choreographed for the Cosmopolitan Magazine, Blisslights, Cleveland Cavaliers, KPOP star Hyoyeon, Singer- Mya, Rapper-Latto, just to name a few.

KK is now a highly sought out industry Dancer, Choreographer, and Educator, selling out master classes all around the world. Her charisma and energy have made KK the face and Choreographer of many campaigns including projects for Gap Fit, Curology, Curls, Fleur Du Mal, Kohl’s, Degree Women, Reebok, Google Play Music, Abercrombie, and C9 by Champion to name a few.

Meet KK Harris

A SELF-TAUGHT TEXTILE DESIGNER

Having a strong understanding of the building and decorative arts, KK looked for ways to kickstart her understanding of pattern. She took an in-person class with Kate Zaremba in January 2016 and joined the community at Pattern Observer. By May, she had developed the pink and lavender rose pattern for House of Floralie, which opened in December of that year.

Her first interiors experiment was her son’s nursery, for which she designed the Ansonborough pattern in 2017. A physical room where she could install her own design was the perfect canvas to prove to herself that she had the chutzpah to produce textiles for the home. Along the way, she made a few mistakes and learned by doing, more than anything else. As a beginner, KK leveraged Spoonflower for her fabric and wallpaper printing needs, of which she's a huge advocate as a learning platform.
