For all his reputation as a worldly wise media titan—one of the few we have in this country, at least in the Hollywood sense—Robert Lantos has taken on film projects that are generally more connected with his heart than with his head. As a founder of Alliance Communications, when it was a picture-making outfit, and as the producer of features by Atom Egoyan, David Cronenberg, and Patricia Rozema, he helped shepherd in a period of unprecedented creativity in the Canadian film scene.

Johnny Weissmuller

Johnny Weissmuller (1904 – 1984) was one of the greatest swimmers in history.

He became famous from his film career. In 1929 he made debut on the big screen, but he became world famous for his part as Tarzan in the movie Tarzan, the Apeman from 1932. He played in 12 Tarzan movies, earning the - in his days enormous - amount of 2 million dollars. He also appeared as Jungle Jim in 13 movies baring the same name.

Johnny Weissmuller has never lost a swimming competition in his entire career, became 52 times national champion of the USA and broke 67 world records. He was the first swimmer to swim the 100 meters freestyle in less than 1 minute.

On the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, he won the gold medal on the 100 meter and 400 meter freestyle and on the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay. 4 years later he would add another 2 gold medals (100 meter freestyle and 4 x 200 meter freestyle) on the Olympics in Amsterdam.

Henry Calvin Johnson Jr.[1] (born October 2, 1954) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Georgia's 4th congressional district since 2007. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is anchored in Atlanta's inner eastern suburbs,[2][3] including Decatur, all of Rockdale County, Lithonia, Stone Mountain, Covington and a sliver of Atlanta itself.

Life, education, and career

Johnson grew up in Washington, D.C. His father worked for the Bureau of Prisons and was the director of classifications and paroles. Up to that time, he was the highest ranking African-American in the bureau.[4]
