Duranice Ann Pace (13 May 1958 – 14 January 2021) was an American songwriter, evangelist, gospel singer and member of The Anointed Pace Sisters.
Early life and education
Pace was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to pastor Murphy Pace, Jr. and Bettie Ann Pace, and raised in the Poole Creek community. She was the couple's second of ten children and their first daughter.[1] Her father sang as a professional quartet singer for the Gospel Starlights and her mother also sang in church services.[2]
She graduated from Walter F. George High School in Atlanta, Georgia (now known as South Atlanta High School), and continued her education at the O.R.M. Word Processing School and Andrew College. There, she studied and majored in music under a music scholarship.[3]

Duranice Pace, Gospel Singer of the Pace Sisters, Dies at 62
Duranice Pace, a singer who was part of the gospel group the Pace Sisters, died on Thursday, her family announced. She was 62.
On Jan. 5, the Pace family announced that she had been hospitalized. They did not provide any details for why she was hospitalized.
“Please keep the prayers, support and love coming as Duranice still fights and gets stronger in the hospital. She is eternally grateful for all of you and she can’t wait to announce a special concert-event that she has been planning with a team of Broadway professionals,” Pace’s team wrote on her Instagram page on Jan. 5.
Pace, born in Atlanta, was the eldest sister of the gospel group, also known as the Anointed Pace Sisters. In addition to her, the group was made up of Phyllis Pace, June Pace-Martin, Melonda Pace, Dejuaii Pace, Leslie Pace, Latrice Pace, Lydia Pace and recurring member LaShun Pace, who had a solo gospel career.

The Anointed Pace Sisters, commonly known as The Pace Sisters, TAPS is an American gospel vocal group based in Atlanta. The group is composed of sisters Duranice Ann, Phyllis Yvonne, June Lorraine, Melonda, Dejuaii J. , Leslie Renee, Latrice Ann, and Lydia Likithia Pace. Their sister, Tarrian LaShun Pace had a solo career and occasionally performed with the group as a recurring member.
