JEF – D’ANGELO TORTUGA

The baby of the group, Jeffrey Adam Hall made his grand entrance into this world on September 5th, 1966 , and the world has been a brighter place for over 30 years. He is the progeny of a 60's nightclub crooner and a professional ballroom dancer, born with the show business gene brewing in his blood. His earliest childhood memories are of Kerhonkson , New York - a small town located deep in the Catskills where his father worked as entertainment director for Granite Hotel and Resort. Here his illustrious father's career choice afforded Jef a constant brush with celebrity and numerous unforgettable experiences like bouncing on Rip Taylor's knee and playing at Neil Sedaka's house with his kids. All good chapters must come to a close, and Jef moved on to the rest of his life with a migration south to St. Petersburg that came around the age of seven when his father became the general manager of a prominent Guy Lombardo getaway known as the Port 'O Call in Tierra Verde, Florida.

*SoCal* - We should find out if/how much of LA we're doing later this week

*GA* - We anticipated coming back for a partial, but they're not having us back this season. Sorry.

*Bristol* - Not signed yet - *very* likely to return for six weekends

*MN* - Not SIgned yet - Scar and Raph are,likely to do SIX and D'Ang likely to do seven weekends

*NC* We're contracted for the full run, but D'Angelo will only be there 3 weekends or so

*LOUISIANA* - Hoping to sign at least TWO WEEKENDS with Scaramouche and Tuleo - and ???

The Brothers Tortuga

The Tortuga Twins are a traveling comedic act, largely performing at Renaissance festivals across the United States, but also making time for private events, weddings, birthday, and more. The Twins, 6 in all, delight and entertain crowds all across the country with a variety of acts and antics.

How It All Began

It all began when Mid America Festivals - a Minnesota based corporation that puts on a number of Renaissance festivals across the United States - acquired the rights to produce the Sarasota Medieval Faire and decided to move it to one weekend earlier. In doing so it removed the scheduling conflict that the Faire had with the Bay Area Renaissance Festival and gave fans the ability to attend both events. This also enabled Mid America Festivals to draw upon their cache of necessary equipment, workers, scenery, costumes, props, and entertainers for use at both events.

For the first time performers from the Largo festival were asked to interact with those from Sarasota. Jef Hall and Riki Robinson jumped at the chance. For years they had both been playing
