Thomas DeCarlo Callaway (born May 30, 1975), known professionally as CeeLo Green (or Cee Lo Green), is an Americansinger, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actor. He performed at the Grammy Awards in 2011. He has made music as a solo artist, and also as a part of the groups Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley.

Among Green's solo hits are "Closet Freak" (2002), "I'll Be Around" (2003), produced by Timbaland, and "Fuck You" (2010), co-written and produced by Bruno Mars.[3]

Green became a coach on The Voice in 2011.

In Hotel Transylvania (2012), Green is the voice of Murray. Green's first Christmas album Cee Lo's Magic Moment has been nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Cee Lo Green was born on May 30, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated high school from Riverside Military Academy, a boarding school for boys in Georgia. Ceelo's mom and dad were ordained ministers and he started his music career in his church. His father died in 1976 when CeeLo Green was only two years old. His mother, Sheila J. Tyler-Callaway, was also a volunteer firefighter. She was in a car crash in 1990 when she was only 16, leaving her paralyzed, and died two years after the accident. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Green came to initial prominence as a member of the Southern hip hop group Goodie Mob in 1991. Following three studio albums with the group, he subsequently began a solo career and released two modestly successful albums for Arista Records: Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections (2002) and Cee-Lo Green...
