1910

The California Almond Growers Exchange is founded, leading development of California’s almond industry from a minor domestic specialty crop to the world leader in almond production and marketing.

1914

The Exchange opens a new receiving and packaging plant, which would later become the largest nut processing plant in the world, covering 33 city blocks on 90 acres.

1915

The Exchange adopts the blue diamond — the rarest in the world — as the symbol on its label, representing high quality and distinguishing it from Spanish and Italian imports.

1931

20 million pounds of almonds are delivered by four thousand almond growers.

The Exchange innovates grading, shelling and other processes to increase market share. Mechanical test grading for quality is introduced.

In the spring of 2022, a unique mobile establishment known as Diamond Daiquiris emerged onto the scene, capturing the hearts and taste buds of many in the Midwest. Behind this venture lies a story deeply rooted in love for two quintessential Southern treats: sno-balls and daiquiris.

The brainchild of Leslie, a passionate individual whose journey spans from the bayous of Louisiana to the heartland of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Diamond Daiquiris is a testament to her unwavering dedication to bringing a taste of the South to her newfound home.

Leslie's affinity for the flavors of her upbringing remained steadfast, even as she embarked on a different path, joining the U.S. Navy in June of 1999. Despite the adventures and travels her military service entailed, there was always one thing that beckoned her back home: the irresistible allure of a perfectly crafted daiquiri and the nostalgic sweetness of a sno-ball.

At the age of fifteen, Diamond joined the group Crime Mob in 2004. Crime Mob first garnered national attention in 2004 with their single "Knuck If You Buck,"[5] which was eventually certified Platinum.[6] They released their debut album Crime Mob later that summer. Their next charting single, "Rock Yo Hips," was released in August 2006 and was followed by a second album, Hated on Mostly, in March 2007.
