Makino Yui (牧野 由依, born January 19, 1986) is a long-time Japanese seiyuu, singer, and pianist from Mie Prefecture. She has been active in the entertainment industry since she was very young (3 years old), but didn't start seiyuu work technically until 1996 (10 years old) and not meaningfully until 2005 (16 years old) where she got here first main role as Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicle. As a singer, she has released 14 singles, 1 mini-album, and 4 albums. She has sung many anime theme songs especially for the Aria franchise (2005+) and very many character songs.
In June 2020, she married singer Miura Yutaro. On March 21, 2022, Makino revealed on her Instagram that she has given birth to her first child, a daughter.

Her past work includes the Undine (ARIA the ANIMATION OP), Euphoria (ARIA the NATURAL OP), Omna Magni (Genesis of Aquarion first ED), Amrita (Tsubasa Chronicle Movie ED), Yume no tsubasa (Tsubasa Chronicle insert song) You are my love (Tsubasa Chronicle insert song). Her most recent work evolves around the anime NHK ni Youkoso! Dark Side ni Tsuitekite (NHK ni Youkoso! insert song), Modokashii Sekai no Ue de (NHK ni Youkoso! second ED), Spirale (ARIA the ORIGINATION OP).
Makino took up piano at the age of four. Her talent for playing piano was discovered by the film director Shunji Iwai when she was seven years old and from the age of 8 to 17, she played piano solos for three of his films, one of which was Love Letter.

Yui Makino (牧野 由依, Makino Yui, born 19 January 1986) is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer, and pianist.[1] She is best known for her work in the anime Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle where she voices Sakura and some of the theme songs for the Aria anime series. She is associated with Amuse, Inc. One of her earliest voice acting performances was the character "Sister" in a short-anime movie Bavel no Hon when she was 10.[1] She married singer Yutaro Miura in 2020.[2][3]
